JOB

Senior Consultant Electrical Power Solutions

Use your skills in quantitative methods and within the field of electrical networks, along with your interest in sustainable development, to contribute to the technical and commercial development of Artelys.

why join artelys?

We are a young and open-minded team eager to apply advanced mathematics to the energy sector. Joining Artelys means joining a highly motivated team, a stimulating working environment and taking part in a variety of high impact and exciting projects, like:

  • The CorNet program aims to develop power grid operational management services at the European level. In particular, the coordinated security analysis ensures next day safe grid operations by simulating possible contingencies. Artelys is developing some of the platform’s grid simulation modules (Load Flow, Security Analysis, Remedial Action Optimizer) using the PowSyBl framework (Open Load Flow and Open RAO).

  • Artelys leads the METIS project on behalf of the European Commission. This project aims to support the Commission in assessing the impact of energy policies on energy production costs, the development of renewable energies, and supply security for gas, electricity, and heat. Future developments include enhancing the representation of the electrical system (such as Flow-Based capacity calculation, nodal markets) within Artelys Crystal Super Grid.

  • Artelys is involved in several collaborative European research projects (TwinEU, Emerge…). Their aim is to develop advanced operation and planning tools for the electrical grid. Specifically, Artelys is developing methods and tools using optimization algorithms from PowSyBl Metrix to demonstrate the potential of advanced grid management methods (such as corrective clipping, topology optimization…).
