V.I.E (International Corporate Volunteering)
Artelys, a human-sized company composed of engineers passionate about mathematics and computer science, develops innovative software solutions and carries out consulting missions in the field of decision support, mainly for energy and transportation.
Growing since its creation, Artelys opened an office in Brussels in 2018. Artelys wants to build a small sales team to focus on business development themes in Benelux. How to increase its visibility? How to target its offer to perfectly fit the audience it is looking for? How to create and maintain relevant, targeted and attractive communication materials at all times? How to reach the ecosystems of interest? How to best navigate the various government and development aid programs for small innovative structures? All these questions are crucial for the healthy development of the local business cluster.
In addition, various management activities are part of the daily life of an office manager. The volunteer will therefore support various tasks related to management, recruitment, etc. as needed.
Carrying out communication activities
The volunteer will join the Artelys group’s communication team in order to participate in different actions. These tasks include:
Management of the publication process of content provided by the marketing teams (news, web page updates, newsletter, etc.) Realization of content formatting (including visual research), insertion on the website (including interaction with the technical team), distribution (newsletter) and publication on social networks Creation of audience reports for marketing teams and advice to marketing teams to improve their audience Creation of communication materials and visuals to promote Artelys’ technical innovations while addressing the target audience Ad hoc activities such as: creation and implementation of communication strategies (campaigns, event organization, etc.)
Participation in business development
In order to contribute to the business development of the Belgian subsidiary, the volunteer will be in charge of marketing or direct sales tasks. Among the tasks envisaged:
Participation in the drafting of commercial offers or response to calls for tender Participation in commercial prospecting activities Ad hoc activities such as: participation in trade shows, identification of webinars, competitive intelligence, contact with business development organizations, follow-up of calls for tender
Participation in various management tasks
The volunteer will be expected to participate in some of the administrative and management tasks inherent in the life of a small business.
Government grant programs – monitoring R&D grants and tax credits, contacting program management organizations, filtering Possible participation in recruitment tasks (selection of CVs, organization of interviews

Artelys is looking for proactive and creative people who are concerned about the added value of their work and are motivated to take part in the development of our activities.
Required skills
Business or communication school degree or equivalent master’s level Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite Languages: perfect command of French and English (fluent English required), both written and spoken
Valued skills
Knowledge of creative software (Adobe Creative Suite, Inkscape, GIMP) Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Ads Ability to improve the style and linguistic quality (French and English) of marketing content and to advise marketing teams on targeting communication
Conditions
The position to be filled is a V.I.E. (Volontariat International en Entreprise) to be carried out in our Brussels office for a period of 18 months.
