Artelys is a fast-growing company specialising in optimisation, decision support and modelling. With a high level of expertise in quantitative techniques, its engineers and consultants design and implement solutions in a wide range of sectors such as energy, transport and logistics.
In particular, Artelys is developing the Artelys Crystal software suite, whose ambition is to position itself as a world leader in modelling and optimisation solutions for energy systems. Artelys Crystal has its own library of Java and JavaScript components that feed the suite’s software.
Description
This internship will allow you to participate in the enrichment of the continuous deployment and monitoring functionalities available at Artelys. The main goal is to contribute to the automation of deployments on different environments.
For example, in the context of the development of the Artelys Crystal platform, the aim will be to enable the automatic installation, deployment and monitoring of the various services on machines hosted locally or in the cloud, with the best guarantees of security and availability.
This internship also aims to keep Artelys services up to date and to participate in their administration, by performing interventions on our servers (physical and in the cloud). An involvement of the intern on IT security aspects is also expected.
Within a system administration team with a great sense of service and mutual aid, your mission will consist of :
Design, experiment and develop new technologies allowing the deployment of solutions developed by Artelys Facilitate the monitoring, maintenance and support of services used by Artelys internally and externally Provide a critical view on the technologies and methodologies currently used Promote the concepts and benefits of DevOps within the company
what we are looking for
You are part of an engineering program, a master’s degree in computer science, or specialized in computer systems and you are looking for an end-of-study internship or a work-study program. You are curious and eager to put your skills in distributed systems and your ability to deploy complex systems in various contexts and real-life problems to good use. You are rigorous and passionate, you like to see computing clusters heating up, you show initiative and imagination and you already have a good knowledge of programming and/or system administration.
During the internship you will develop your skills in:
Java, Python, Bash Docker and Kubernetes ELK, Postgrsql Nginx, Apache HTTP, Tomcat, Wildfly, Ingress Versioning, integration (Git, Jenkins, GitlabCI, Sonar, Maven, Webpack, NPM, Helm) Architecture, analysis and design Writing of security audits and disaster recovery plans
