IT Project Manager – Java or Python
For customer or internal R&D projects, you will be responsible for the specification, organization and planning of decision support tool development projects, from the design phase to the deployment, supported by a team of engineers specialized in computer science and applied mathematics.

  • Artelys has developed a multi-sectoral technical and economic evaluation tool for low-carbon trajectories for the French Ministry of Ecological Transition. The tool developed covers the main sectors of the economy emitting greenhouse gases (transport, energy production, industry, construction, agriculture) and aims to select the most relevant investments with regard to the greenhouse gas reduction objectives specified at the outset.
  • Artelys has developed a prototype for the intelligent processing of accident data for the Loiret Department. The objective of the tool developed was to provide decision-making elements to improve road safety through the use of artificial intelligence algorithms and interactive and thematic dashboards.

Description

Within the projects that you will conduct, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading discussions to establish the functional and/or technical specifications of the solution, in relation with the client and/or the project’s functional team
  • Technically supervising and coordinating the work of the project team dedicated to the implementation of the solution
  • Assessing the risks that may arise during the implementation as well as setting up the project structures and management tools covering them (dashboards, indicators, committees’ organization)
  • Defining the requirements in terms of human resources and technical skills required to meet deadlines, respect costs and deliver a solution that meets the client’s needs
  • Organizing test pans, ensuring the correction of anomalies, validating software deliverables, monitoring the production and deployment of the solution

    what we are looking for

    You are the ideal candidate if:

  • You are an engineering school graduate or if you hold a master degree in computer science
  • You have a first experience of at least one year as an IT project manager as well as an experience of at least tow years as a development engineer in Java or Python
  • You are driven by project management and being responsible for a team, budget and deadlines
  • You have an aptitude for scientific and quantitative approaches
  • You have a strong knowledge of Java and/or Python programming languages as you will be responsible for the quality of the code delivered by your team
  • You are able to reconcile the client’s business vision, the developer’s technical vision and the company’s economic vision
  • You have excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience in applied mathematics or in our main business areas (Energy, transport, Mobility) will be highly appreciated

    In addition, a good fluency in French will be highly appreciated.
