as well as with software design and development, and is increasingly
hired as a reference advisor. These services are usually ordered

management, joint management of physical assets and financial

of active devices in gas transmission networks, investment
strategies design, safety and vulnerability assessment, risk
indicators computation;

Pricing policy: setting gas or electricity transmission rates,
market prices modelling, yield management;
•
Markets: pricing of swing contracts, valuation of a portfolio
of contracts, devising indicators for market operations;

Optimization of energy sourcing - Risk
management.
Artelys has a strong experience and expertise in the design,
the development and the roll out of optimization engines.
Relying on this know-how, it has undertaken the development
of a software platform designed to tailor and implement tools
dedicated to the study and the management of power generation.
Artelys
Generation Scheduling System (AGSS)
is now available and helps to manage the power generation
scheduling at a daily and operational level, specifically
to optimize the intraday planning of the generation machines.
A reference framework and the corresponding optimization models
have been drawn up in collaboration with electricity producers.
Those models set up the relevant constraints and objectives
that are taken into account. AGSS
is successfully used by Endesa
France for the daily scheduling of their power generation
assets. The platform has also been chosen by EDF
for the management
of the island systems.
