Artelys Generation Scheduling
System (AGSS) is a platform for the short term management
of production and/or financial assets in the energy sector.
It enables to optimize the production capacities planning,
to model the contracts and represent the positions on the
markets. In such a context, the reduction of production costs
in compliance with the technical, operational and market constraints
is a significant challenge.
This platform supports a fast and accurate configuration
of the overall system to optimize:

market context (prices, positions);
•
precise modelling of production systems (hydro, thermal and
so on);
•
specific operational or regulatory constraints;
•
costs / earnings functions (power units output, pricing of
optional features in contracts, etc.).
The development of this platform is based on the specific
knowledge of Artelys regarding generation asset management,
electricity and gas markets, as well as the modelling of systems
and assets.
The modelling elements provided in AGSS
ensure to strike the best possible balance between the execution
time, which must comply with strong operational constraints,
and the accuracy of the results. Highly efficient methods
for solving large combinatorial problems make it possible
to get optimized schedules within a few minutes.

The tool lets you view on a single screen the planning
computed for all the power plants. The user can quickly
filter information to get charts and detailed tables
for selected units or specific times in the production
plan.

The home screen is configured to give access to all
the information that can be changed every day before
running the computation. No other screen is necessary
to check the validity of data. The values that remain
constant over time are displayed directly. The variable
curves are represented and accessible via an icon.
