Artelys Crystal Forecast - Forecasting Environment
Forecast activities require considering and controlling
a large number of data and assumptions: forecasting assumptions,
parameters based on historical data, forecast horizon, time
granularity, models, and so on. Furthermore, the quality of
the forecast often relies on the use of the most efficient
models, either statistical tools or rules from the business
expertise. An important challenge is then to reconcile a relevant
empirical forecast and a sound statistical analysis.
The Artelys Crystal Forecast (ACF)
platform is a forecasting environment with an efficient graphical
user interface and integrated analysis tools that enable to:

easily handle, process and visualize time series;
•
manage historical data;
•
structure data and models;
•
analyze the quality of forecasts;
•
seamlessly use a combination of statistical forecasting models.
The quality of the graphical components developed with the
Artelys Visualization library leads to efficient management
and visual summary of heterogeneous data. It is thus much
easier to handle, process and display time series. Each screen
may be fully customised and it is possible to set up:
•
the display time range,
•
the time granularity,
•
the display mode: tables and / or graphs,
•
the time series subdivision,
•
the comparison mode for time series with gradually exhibited
differences.

The screen design makes it very fast to input values
of a time series. Functions are available to copy blocks
of information, choose types of graphs and visualize
data during data input.
