Artelys Metis 2004 Software Release
Artelys announces the release of the 2004 update of the software
suite Artelys Metis, a set of numerical components for the
solution of large scale optimization problems by means of
hybridization and decomposition techniques. Major enhancements
have been made in this new version allowing new problems to
be solved and improving the solution of large scale combinatorial
problems. The new features of Artelys Kalis and Artelys Dualis
are presented below.
Artelys Kalis
The implementation of propagation algorithms has been improved,
making it possible to solve certain problems of resource allocation
twice as rapidly as before. In addition, new algorithms at
the core of the library allow a more effective propagation
for all the problems tractable by constraint programming.
Artelys Kalis is available on PCs running Windows or Linux
and on Sun platforms running Solaris in a version compatible
with the native compilers (Sun CC and Forte). A version compatible
with the development tools GNU is also available upon request.
You will find more information about Artelys Kalis here.
Artelys Dualis
With Artelys Dualis 2004, the possibilities concerning the
decomposition of large scale combinatorial problems widen.
New functionalities on the constraint of bounds on the variables
enable the solving of different types of decomposition problems.
The flexibility of Artelys Dualis and the robustness of its
default settings have evolved in order to integrate these
new functionalities. This coincides with the remodeling of
a numerical sub-module in order to achieve a better numerical
precision of the results.
Artelys Dualis is available on PCs running Windows or Linux
and on Sun platforms running Solaris.
You will find more information on Artelys Dualis here.
