Artelys DynOpt 2004 Software Release
Managing oil-fields, gas reserves, hydraulic dams, financial
asset portfolios or cereal stocks requires to handle stock
management problems. Valuing existing stocks and fixing the
quantity, the moment and the optimal sale price are at the
heart of these problems. Optimization techniques (linear programming,
stochastic dynamic programming) and simulations have a fundamental
role in the analysis of these problems and in risk management
strategies.
Artelys has developed a generic framework for stochastic optimization
and simulation of dynamic systems: Artelys DynOpt. This C++
framework significantly reduces the time required to develop
complex dynamic system models, thus allowing the user to test
and compare a large number of models.
Artelys announces the release of the 2004 update of Artelys
DynOpt. This new version allows the study of two- or three-dimensional
dynamic systems thanks to an innovative algorithm aiming at
the approximation of multidimensional valorization functions.
Artelys DynOpt now allows the user to define models more naturally
and to provide more precise solutions to multidimensional
problems such as:
•
management of interconnected stocks;
•
taking into account complex consumption restrictions linked
to peak and off-peak hours in power sourcing contracts;
•
market segmentation in yield management.
