ROADEF Challenge 2009
Special prize for Australian team - ROADEF
Challenge 2009
Artelys and FICO are proud to award a special prize to the
Australian team who took part in the
ROADEF challenge 2009 organized by the Amadeus
company.
The teams faced off on a problem of management of disruptions
in the aviation field. It is a question of reallocating resources
to take into account uncertainties, such as mechanical breakdowns,
a strike or adverse weather conditions, in order to minimize
their impact on passengers.
The
Australian team at the University of Melbourne distinguished
itself by its excellent know-how and its expertise in optimization
techniques. They relied on the Xpress-MP
optimization suite for solving the proposed problem.
