Accenture and Artelys to communicate
at ASLOG
The consulting firm Accenture
and Artelys will have a joint presentation at a seminar organized
by ASLOG
(Association Française pour la Logistique) held on
may 14th in Paris and focused on collaborative supply chain
management. Other speakers will belong to Andersen and Ikea
management teams.
Program:
"The potential of collaboration"
(Accenture)
Initiatives focusing on a more integrated supply chain management
have flourished in the past years. IT projects relying on
state-of-the-art software tools and accompanying these initiatives
have been technically successfull. However pilots have not
always convinced from a logistic and economical point of view.
The analysis of collaboration potential and structural restrictions
against it, can help explaining these mitigated successes.
Moreover it will provide an improvement guide relying partly
on the next generation of collaboration software tools.
"Quantifying the collaboration potential - The contribution
of simulation tools"
(Accenture - Artelys)
What is the impact of forecast quality improvement ? A fine
representation of the dynamic aspects of the production planning
process is necessary to give a quantitative answer to this
question. Advanced dynamic simulation technologies can model
sophisticated APS decisions and measure the economical impact
of collaboration. Simulation results confirm experts intuitions,
however the order of magnitude of indicators evolution (costs,
quality of service, production capacity utilization, planning
quality) is often surprising and redefines priorities.
