Artelys Kalis Java Version Software
Release
Artelys announces the release of the Java version of the constraint
programming component Artelys Kalis, integrated in the 2004B
version of the software suite Artelys Metis.
New features of the 2004B version
Release of the Java version of Artelys
Kalis
Based on the same technology as the C++ version, the Java
version is specially adapted for the construction of Web services
applications, thus eliminating the need to integrate a non-Java
solver or optimizer.
Its main assets are:
•
Rapid development: its rich and extendable syntax saves significant
time on the development. The syntax is equivalent to the one
of the C++ library in order to make the migration from the
C++ version to the Java version easier.
•
Portability: entirely written in Java and delivered as a package,
this version is compatible with any application created for
the Java platform.
•
Efficiency: Artelys Kalis for Java implements the same algorithms
as the C++ version and proves as efficient.
New C++ version
A new version of the C++ library is available. Compared with
the 2004A version, the performances are on average 10% better,
and can be up to 20% better on specific applications.
